Monitoring of an external position encoder with the help of the internal velocity encoder (motor encoder)
This makes it possible to monitor the axis with regard to mechanical defects
Different directions of rotation and the difference between the two encoders are monitored. If the difference exceeds a value that can be set in the tolerance window for a period of more than 30 ms, an error is reported.
