ECOMODUL: Scalable and modular servo amplifier / stepper amplifier
Overview
The modular structure makes it easy to adapt the device to a wide variety of applications. Instead of new developments, modules are simply to be configured. The device costs are significantly reduced and the amplifier including customer-specific equipment is available to the machine manufacturer much more quickly.
The basic building blocks of the amplifier are the axis modules. They each control two servo axes or stepper motor axes. Furthermore, four digital inputs and two outputs with 24 V (e.g. for a brake connection) are available per axis module.
The ECOMODUL is controlled via the CANopen interface or via EtherCAT. A USB interface is also available for parameterization. The STO functionality affects all connected axes.
In addition, I / O modules or customer-specific modules can be used in the ECOMODUL, e.g. for an external encoder system or other fieldbus interfaces. Depending on the functionality required, the amplifier can control up to four axes and measures just 145 (D) x 79 (W) x 212 (H) mm.
Why it helps
Six axes in one unit reduce cabinet space and wiring
Configure ready modules instead of developing hardware, faster delivery and lower device cost
Easy PLC integration via CANopen or EtherCAT, optional I/O and customer-specific modules for sensors and interfaces
Stable synchronization from incremental and absolute encoder support, assignable I/O simplifies brake and homing functions
Fast commissioning with ECOSTUDIO parameter wizards and analysis tools
STO across all axes supports safety compliance
Where it fits
Coordinated multi-axis gantries and handling stations
Electronics inspection systems with synchronized motion
Pick-and-place or feeding units requiring up to 6 axes
OEM applications where short delivery times and integration flexibility are critical
