415D expands the JAT ECOVARIO® portfolio with 230 V connection and two axes
Even before the introduction of the new 415D 2-axis solution, Jenaer Antriebstechnik GmbH was already impressing with its equally wide-ranging and specific servo amplifier programme for the most diverse fields of application. With the 415D, JAT strengthens the ECOVARIO® family with another member since 2023: A compact solution with high connectivity designed to operate two axes. Thanks to numerous interfaces, the new servo amplifier can be used in a wide range of highly dynamic and high-precision positioning tasks.
Once again, the specialists from Jena are responding to the concrete and increasing requirements in industrial automation with demand-oriented development work. With a strong practical orientation and focus on the challenges of the application, the 415D servo amplifier fits perfectly into the structure of the ECOVARIO® family. And thus also in a wide variety of different application areas such as marking and labelling, inspection, laser technology and cutting as well as pick & place.
Two axes and numerous interfaces for a wide range of tasks
Powerful, dynamic and highly precise, the ECOVARIO® 415D supports a wide range of positioning tasks. The new servo amplifier is designed for the operation of two axes and the control of 3-phase brushless synchronous servo motors. It not only impresses with its compact design, but with its single-phase 230 V mains connection it also enables operation without a power supply unit. The 415D is in the power range up to 4 kW and is thus positioned in the midfield of the ECOVARIO® family between the 114D with 1.4 kW and the 616D with 10 kW.
What the name ECOVARIO® promises, the portfolio of servo amplifiers and especially the 415D delivers in terms of features, design and functionality. In addition to saving time and costs for the user, the JAT servo amplifiers are primarily developed with regard to high variability. This is reflected in the 415D not least in the encoders. It supports incremental, absolute (BiSS, HIPERFACE) and SinCos measurement systems. The simultaneous use of several systems is also possible. The available bus systems such as EtherCAT, Profinet, CANopen, Profibus and Ethernet are also designed for versatility.
High connectivity, security and flexibility - easily implemented
The 415D servo amplifier has the safety function STO (Safe Torque Off) and an integrated ballast resistor. In addition to the I/O equipment with seven digital inputs and three outputs per axis, the 415D is also equipped with 2 high-speed capture inputs (RS422) for fast event recording. JAT provides numerous technology
functions for application-specific drive solutions with the ECOVARIO® 415D. This means that even the most complex applications can be implemented quickly and without programming, such as a master/slave operation of both axes, a winding drive and a fill level control.
ECOVARIO® - this name also says it all when it comes to customising and expanding functions as well as simple and quick commissioning. Even after complete commissioning with the aid of the ECOSTUDIO® software, changes, adjustments and extensions to the scope of functions can be made by JAT at any time. In addition, the ECOVARIO® 415D will receive UL certification for operation in the USA and Canada in the future.
