Overview
The ECOSPEED 80D31-0570 is a high speed servo motor in the ECOSPEED 80D series, designed for demanding industrial automation where up to 8000 rpm and high dynamic performance are required. With an 80 mm flange, maximum DC link voltage of 560 V DC, peak torque of 9 Nm and stall torque of 3.47 Nm, it delivers power based on speed in a compact, robust package. The motor is IP65 and UL certified, which supports use in harsh industrial environments and simplifies approval for international markets. In combination with ECOVARIO 414 or 616 servo amplifiers, the motor provides rated power up to around 1.1 kW, supporting both 325 V and 560 V DC link architectures.
Advantages
- Power based on speed:
The motor is optimized to deliver high torque at high speeds, up to 8000 rpm, which helps shorten cycle times in fast handling, packaging and machining axes. - High precision and dynamics:
Very good synchronization behavior combined with high resolution encoder options supports precise positioning, smooth motion and repeatable processes in multi axis systems. - Robust for industrial use:
The IP65 housing and 80 mm mechanical interface make integration into machines straightforward while providing protection against dust and water jets in demanding environments. - Flexible configuration:
A wide range of incremental, absolute and SinCos encoders, an optional 3 Nm holding brake and mechanical options such as shaft with key, gear and shaft seal ring IP54 allow the motor to be tailored to the load and safety concept without in house modifications.
Where it fits
The ECOSPEED 80D31-0570 is well suited for high speed rotary axes that combine significant torque with demanding motion profiles. Typical applications include packaging machines, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment, robotics and handling systems, and other automation tasks where high throughput and accurate positioning at up to 8000 rpm are required. The available load capacities, with axial loads up to about 167 N and radial loads up to about 335 N for the 80D series, support the use of belts, pulleys and couplings in dynamic drive trains.
Interfaces
- Servo amplifiers:
The motor is designed for use with ECOVARIO 414, 415D, 616 and 616D servo amplifiers, so you can cover both 325 V and 560 V DC link systems with one motor platform. - Encoder systems:
- EDS capable incremental encoders with standard resolutions from 8,000 to 160,000 inc/rev
- bsolute encoders up to 19 bit single turn and 12 bit multi turn with BiSS or HIPERFACE protocols
- SinCos encoders with 1000 periods per revolution are available to match the control concept
- Holding brake:
An optional integrated holding brake with about 3 Nm holding torque increases the motor length by roughly 51 mm and the weight by about 0.7 kg, and is suitable for vertical or safety relevant axes that must hold position when power is removed. - Mechanical and cabling options:
Mechanical variants such as shaft with key, gear options and shaft seal ring IP54, together with M17 motor and encoder connector sets and pre assembled motor, motor or brake and encoder cables for ECOVARIO amplifiers, simplify integration and support reliable wiring in moving cable chains.
