PLC alternative for simple automation tasks
The JAT parameterization and operating software ECOSTUDIO® with its “graphical sequence editor” function offers the option of creating simple program sequences for drives quickly and intuitively without programming knowledge and transferring them to the servo amplifier at the click of a mouse.
Automation without programming
- Sequence editor in ECOSTUDIO® enables automation tasks without programming knowledge.
- Function blocks (e.g. “Move positions”, “Move speed”) are inserted from a library using drag & drop.
- Simple parameterization: Modules are configured with just a few clicks.
- Graphical representation of the function sequence by connecting the modules.
- Saving and adaptation: Sequence sequences can be saved, loaded and adapted.
- Real-time evaluation: Servo amplifier records events such as position and speed and uses them for the subsequent sequence.
- Expert mode enables complex automation with programming knowledge.
Advantages for the automation engineer
- Simple automation without a PLC and without a higher-level controller.
- Quick and intuitive creation of sequences for drives.
- Time and cost savings due to the elimination of PLC components and programming.
- Flexibility thanks to customizable and expandable sequences.
- Support for JAT servo amplifiers and motors with wizard-based motor selection.
- Runs under Windows, automatic detection of JAT hardware.

Our multi-axis systems are used worldwide and optimize production and measuring processes in leading high-tech companies.
Precise wafer positioning in semiconductor production
Automatic handling, pick & place processes, of the transported goods take place between all processes. JAT develops multi-axis systems for positioning in the nanometer range individually for the respective customer application in industry, science and medicine, built on high-precision machined granite and mounted on air springs for vibration isolation.
Inspection - AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) or X-Ray Inspection
Automated high-speed inspection systems for the inspection of e.g. solder joints, SMD assembly or wire bonds. During optical inspections, a camera is moved with high precision over a PCB in the XY direction, triggering an image at certain points, which is compared with CAD data via software.
Machining & assembly
CNC or laser drilling of a panel as well as inspection, marking & labeling and subsequent panel separation. Precise milling or laser cutting is used to separate large-format blanks - known as panels - into many smaller blanks. For example, a finished 25x25 inch panel is milled or punched to produce around 60 to 80 circuit boards for smartphones.
