Invitation to the award ceremony at JAT
Jenaer Antriebstechnik GmbH has been awarded the silver vector award for its outstanding engineering performance. The official award ceremony will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 12:30 PM as part of an in-house exhibition at the company’s site in Jena. Customers, partners, and members of the press are warmly invited to attend this special event.
The vector award, initiated by igus GmbH, recognizes the world’s most innovative and technically advanced applications of energy chain systems every two years. The aim of the competition is to provide engineers with a platform to showcase exceptional achievements in cable management, a critical but often underestimated factor in the performance of modern machines and systems. In its tenth edition, the competition has developed into an internationally recognized industry event, with 424 submissions from 36 countries highlighting its global relevance.
Award-winning precision for microchip manufacturing
Jenaer Antriebstechnik GmbH received the silver vector award for a high-precision positioning system, used in the production of modern microchips. These are used in smartphones, electric vehicles, and medical diagnostic devices. The developed pick-and-place systems position components with an accuracy of ±0.1 micrometers, approximately 700 times finerthan the thickness of a human hair. At the same time, the systems achieve accelerations of up to 100 m/s².
